In this video, we are going to bring our focus on some very cool car doors that are so eccentric you can`t even imagine them as a concept. There are all kinds of designs here, from crazy insect-like doors to disappearing car doors!

The first one on the cool car doors list was presented at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show by the Russian company YO-Avto.

Thanks to the Yo-Autos’s Concept, these doors slide out the back hatch of this plug-in hybrid. Russian crazy has its own special flavor.

Up next is the Rezvani Beast Alpha and its Sidewinder Doors. The Alpha is a less punishing version of the Beast complete with mod cons such as power locks and windows, air conditioning and, as well as airbags and traction and stability control. Its doors pop out and swing forward in a stunning show of creative design.

Alfa Romeo Pandion is the next on this awesome and cool car doors list. The doors on this car rotate backwards from the front wheel, lifting the entire body sides 90 degrees. The aspect of sheer wonder occurs when those reverse hinged scissor doors reach for the sky. The doors reveal that tantalizing teal cockpit in all its futurama glory. The overall shape is perfection.

For the next awesome door concept, we travel back to the 60`s to take a look at the 1969 Holden Hurricane. Instead of conventional doors, the entire roof of its windshield and parts of the side were lifted in one piece.

Up next, we got the Mercedes Benz 300SL that has gull-wing doors, also known as a falcon-wing doors. This term stands for car doors that are hinged at the roof not on the side. The doors evoke the image of a seagull’s wings when opening upwards. Conventional car doors are typically hinged at the front-facing edge of the door and the door swings outward in a horizontal plane.

When it comes to the gullwing doors, next on the list is the Ford Evos Concept car. Its four scissor doors are reaching skyward to the heavens, so it is both the most distinctive and important concept from Ford in many a year.

Who else is on the list if not Tesla’s Falcon Wings. Falcon Wing doors allow easy access to second and third row seats even from a tight parking space. With only a foot of clearance on either side, these doors articulate smoothly up and out of the way, allowing passengers to enter from both front and rear directions. Parents can buckle children in without ducking or without bumping their child’s head on the roof thanks to the side and overhead opening is so large that.

Koenigsegg Raptor Doors were purpose built door hinge mechanisms for the ultimate sports car called “dihedral synchro-helix” actuation doors. The company has been designing and building Keonigsegg style door hinges, to fit normal production cars. These doors are called Raptor door hinges. They are designed to open in the same way as the Keonigsegg door hinge. What will the girlfriend say. . . .if you came home with this?

BMW Isetta (front door opening), the favorite student ride. The door was opened by push button instead of a handle. How cool is that?!

Have you ever parked your car in a tight space and wish you could open its doors without having to damage cars? If you have a car like the BMW Z1 with vertical sliding doors, you don’t have to worry about that.

This video shows how these wicked doors work. There are few doors that haven’t been mention in this article, so feel free to look the video below.
