You may have never heard of it, but there was once a one-off vehicle called the BMW M8. It was very similar to the M1, but had a 5.0-liter V12 engine producing 550 horsepower underneath its hood. Six-speed manual gearbox was mated to the engine and the car also featured rear wheel drive and generous amount of carbon fiber.
Unfortunately, there was only one M8 and that wasn’t enough to rule them all. Shortly after, everyone forgot the M8 and it was like the BMW had retired the name.
Until now. BMW M8 will be the next stunning supercar
According to sources, BMW will actually be creating a new M8 and the model will come in three different M8 styles: Coupe, Convertible and Gran Coupe.
Will the new BMW M8 be a supercar? Well, it seems so. There are speculations that the car will be AWD and will pack a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine to which an eight-speed ZF-sourced automatic transmission will be mated.
Unfortunately, we don’t have our hands on the pictures of the car. The images used in this article are BMW concept renderings by Giom Image Art.
