Usually, when it comes to supercars, the European or American hypercars usually occupy the top positions. When someone mentions an Asian company that deals with hypercars and supercars, we would be surprised and full of doubts.
Nevertheless, the Beijing company Techrules unveiled two hybrid concepts in Geneva, AT96 having aviation turbine and GT96 featuring a gas turbine. The car is supposed to appear in Geneva next year. To do this, the Chinese manufacturer of supercar models Techrules hired the legendary Italian designer Giorgio and Fabrizio Giugiaro.
Things look pretty serious from the technological point of view, the car’s engine will be capable of achieving maximum output of 1,044 hp and a torque of 8.640 Nm.
These figures allow the development of a top speed of 350 km/h, which is supported by fantastic autonomy, and acceleration from 0 to 96 km/h in 2.5 seconds. It can pass an amazing 2,000 miles on a single charge and minimum fuel consumption of 0.18 liters per 100 kilometers.
The length of Techrules AT96 is 4648 mm, width 2.034 mm, 1.140 mm height and wheelbase is 2655 mm. The full weight of the car is 1.380 kg. The suspension is fully independent double transverse girders, ventilated discs brakes with six-piston brakes cameras front and four behind. The company promises to show the serial versions of both vehicles with innovative microturbines for a year or two.
The model has 80-liter tank and can run on aviation kerosene, diesel or gasoline. There is a possibility of mounting balloons with natural or synthetic gas. Six of electric motors with an output of 36 kWh go to power auxiliary equipment such as inverters. The remaining electric motors of 30 kWh serve to boost lithium manganese oxide battery (LiMn) with a capacity of 20 kWh at a voltage of 760 V.
The battery is fully charged in 40 minutes and has six powered electric motors – two front and two on each of the rear wheels. The use of two smaller rather than a larger rear electric motor is more efficient, and editing of carbon Monocoque makes the vehicle easier.
The whole system of TREV concept is mounted on the rear frame. Its weight without batteries with liquid cooling and electric motors is only 100 kg. Techrules hybrids have a mileage of 150 kilometers with electric power. The batteries can be recharged on the move or in a parking lot.
Techrules is a sister company of holding TXR-S, which has more branches in different directions in different areas, including space technology. For this achievement to become a reality, Techrules not only committed Giorgio and his son but also the company L.M Gianetti – a specialist in engineering and manufacturing, which will build 25 cars per year.
