The supercar has been leaked in all its glory: we present you the upcoming 2018 McLaren 720S.

Earlier this year, the Instagram user lamborghiniks, shared the first photo of the new McLaren supercar completely free of camouflage. As we can notice, the design is obviously evolutionary. It features deep sculpting on the sides and triangular openings for the headlights, but to get a look at the rear end, we’ll have to wait a little more. We can surely say, though, that the car looks like a stunner.

Initially referred as P14, and known to be the 720s in production form the new supercar will serve as a replacement for the 650S in the McLaren line-up. It will be powered by an upgraded version of the twin-turbo 3.8-liter V-8 capable of giving out 720 metric horsepower or 710 horsepower in the United States.

The car will be the first member of McLaren’s next-generation Super Series family. It will use a new carbon fiber monocoque structure that promises weight savings as well as improved stiffness and rigidity. The car will also benefit from the new twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 that was being developed specifically for the 720S and apparently, it would work with a new modular hybrid system.

Downforce will be up by around 50 percent, improving stability, and cooling efficiency will also be improved by around 15 percent. This model will present the next evolutionary step of McLaren’s design language. Frank Stephenson, the design manager has stated the car will have a more radical look than P1. Another major change will be in the cabin, which will have a new, more intuitive layout.

The car is set for in March at the 2017 Geneva auto show. Until then, we’ll wait for more leaks.
