It’s not every day that you get out of a rental lot in a 435-horsepower muscle car. But Hertz and Shelby American joined forces again and celebrated the anniversary with bringing back its hopped-up special edition Ford Mustang Shelby GT-H.

The “H” in the name refers to Hertz rent-a-car. The cars are instantly recognizable in black with a pair of gold racing stripes and they will be distributed at 17 Hertz airport rental locations.

But Mustang Shelby GT-H will not be available everywhere because it will be produced in only 140 copies. The performance pioneer Shelby modified Mustangs into the 306-horsepower GT350-H in 1966.10 years ago, Shelby American also did the GT-H program that was introduced at the New York Auto Show.

Joe Conway, CEO of Shelby American says that they worked closely with Ford Performance to make the 2016 Shelby GT-H the most exciting Mustang ever which will wear the iconic Hertz black-and-gold livery.

Having a 5-liter V-8 means it has awesome horsepower, but what is more is that the new GT-H is coming with a fancy Shelby hood with air intakes and air extractors designed cool the engine. There’s also a carbon-fiber splitter, rear spoiler, and fancy rocker panels.

The car is also lowered by an inch. With the help of the spicy exhaust system this car sounds different, and so is the driving with the particular data set suspension and 19-inch wheels with high-performance Michelin tires.

It’s fun, but the fun doesn’t come cheap. Since this is a rental car, the rental rates start at $399 a day. Between five and 15 GT-Hs will be available at any location.
