Here are the first “live” photos of the new Lamborghini Asterion LPI 910-4 Hybrid, which probably is the most powerful Lamborghini in history – Asterion LPI 910-4 Hybrid Concept. This is a concept that combines a V10 engine with three electric motors and is the first hybrid in company history that can be charged from a standard electrical installation. In Paris, the Italians within the group revealed a new concept of the two-seater model one day before the official start of the fair and the official world premiere.
The concept is also the most powerful car in the history of the brand. Lamborghini Asterion relies on the aggregate output power of 910hp, which includes 5.2-liter V10 petrol engine with 610hp (the same used for the coupe Huracan) and three electric motors with a total output power of 300 hp. The torque is transmitted through a 7-speed DSG-gearbox. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h are the two things that place the Asterion in the most powerful Lamborghini cars ever. Only with electricity, Asterion can develop 125 km/h, passing about 50 miles on a single charge. In the hybrid mode supercar, it consumes 4.2 l/100km, and the level of CO2 emissions is 98 g / km.
The model name is pretty symbolic. Appendix I on the LP means “Ibrido”, or hybrid in Italian. Four, as usual, means four-wheel drive, while Asterion a mythical creature – was in fact the Minotaur – half bull, half man. This also shows that the supercar is based on two types of energy.
Still is unknown whether Lamborghini Asterion will start with serial production.
