This tips and tricks doesn’t mean cancelling the annual tune-up at the mechanic.

You need your oil, engine and tire checked, but did you know that there are actually tons of simple ways to make your car awesome? Using these car hacks, you will make your experience of driving and owning a car much, much better.

1.Never forget where you parked.
It’s easy, but do we remember to do it? Take a picture of where you parked in a huge lot and save yourself the time wandering around it afterwards.

2.Adjust your mirrors properly.
Mirrors should be positioned so that no part of your car appears in them. Safety experts believe that this is the best way to negate blind spots. The mirror placements should slightly overlap with the field of view in the center-mounted rear-view mirror.

The next time you’re driving on the highway, check out the sign position. The exit is on the left if the number is on the upper left corner of the sign, and vice versa. This could help you quickly know, even from a great distance.

7.Remove a registration sticker.
Whether it’s a registration sticker or an oil change reminder, the glue they leave behind is irritating. Remove it with a newspaper and warm water on it. Place the newspaper over the registration sticker for around 10 minutes, and the sticker residue will be gone.

9.Keep doors from freezing shut.

Use ordinary cooking spray on the rubber gaskets on the inside of your door and then gently wipe with a paper towel. Doors freeze because water settles into those gaskets and then hardens. The cooking spray makes the seals tighter and harder for water to get in.

Take an old coffee cup and make a great holder for tissues. It will fit right into the cup holder in your console.

11.Increase your car door opener remote’s signal.
If your remote car door opener doesn’t have the range to open your door, put the key fob on your chin to increase the range of the signal. The fluids in your head turn it into an adequate conductor.

13.Make a GPS stand
If you’re using your phone as a GPS, make a phone holder using rubber bands and a binder clip. Put the phone in between.

14.Clean with a coffee filter.
Simply put a little olive or vegetable oil on the coffee filter and then rub it over your car’s console. The filters are much better as cleaners than dryer sheets because dryer sheets can contain a lot of chemicals. If you don’t want to use oil, use another cleaning solution instead.
