Following the announcement that was released last month, on the Geneva Motor Show, Bugatti unveiled the fourth model in the exclusive six-part legends edition – Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Rembrandt. This model is designed to commemorate the Italian sculptor Rembrandt Bugatti. Rembrandt Bugatti is a brother of the founder of the company – Ettore Bugatti, and one of the most popular sculptors of the twentieth century.
Similarly, as the previous models in the Bugatti Legends series, this model is made in 3 copies, already are sold in advance. One of this model cost 2.18 million euros. When it comes to the exterior, this special edition of the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse is specific because the bronze color is combined with a light brown tint. The aluminum wheels are painted in “Firefinch” and light “Noix” brown color, while the tank cap is laser engraved with a logo of Rembrandt Bugatti’s signature. The interior of the vehicle is characterized by light brown “Cognac” upholstery, while the other elements including the “EB” logo on the steering wheel are made of bronze.
This model, the Bugatti Rembrandt is equipped with an 8 – liter W16 engine that can develop 1500Nm of torque and a power of 1200 hp. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.56 seconds and can reach a top speed of 408.58 km/h, which means it is a hastily serial roadster that has been produced so far.
Bugatti applied for a patent of the name Rembrandt, which is Ettore’s younger brother name, which is a very famous artist. Junior Bugatti Rembrandt authored a sculpture for classic models – an elephant standing on its hind legs with the trunk up. The most famous model that has this ornament is the Bugatti Type 41 Royale; however, this hood ornament is not used in the modern automotive brand.
