Dejan, who holds the record for the most goals scored by a foreign player by scoring 198 goals in the Korean professional football K-League, announced his retirement.
On the 16th, Dejan announced his retirement through social media, saying, “It’s hard to believe, but this day has come.”

Dejan made his professional debut in 1998 in Yugoslavia. He made his K-League debut in 2007 wearing an Incheon uniform. After scoring 19 goals in 36 games in his first season, Dejan transferred to FC Seoul the following year.
He served as the main striker for six consecutive seasons in Seoul and led them to two league championships. From 2011 to 2013, he became the first player in the K-League to become the K-League’s top scorer three times in a row. In 2012, he won the K League MVP award.

Dejan transferred to Kitchi in Hong Kong in 2021 and played until May of this year. Kitchi became the top scorer in the Hong Kong League in his first season.
